Storytelling.  If there is a thread that runs through my pictures, storytelling stands out as a big part of what I do.  This class has helped me to become more clear about that.  Here's a series from last Thursday, Friday and Saturday that I call "3 Days in February".  I had no intention of doing any photography but grabbed my point/shoot as I walked out the door just in case.  Thursday and Friday were in NYC and Saturday was at a jazz concert here in this building.

  1. So glad your camera came with you. I loved the contrast between the drab greys in the bus and over the top colors of Times Square, between the horizontality of Times Square and vertical skyscraper. I really responded to your two beautiful shots of the sax(?) juxtaposed with another element, especially the mic stand and the piano, something about that sinuous curve in the one with the stand, like a snake ready to be charmed.

  2. Nice! Thanks for the brief tour of Three Days In Feb! Even with a point and shoot you got some good depth of field and color contrast.
