Butterflies!

Spend some time in the live butterfly pavilion in the Natural History Museum. If you haven't been there yet I highly recommend it.

I had a (not exactly) willing model for my weekend photo shoot.  I so rarely shoot animals (or people) so I decided to try this.  I realize I have a lot to think about - I did no staging at all, and paid no attention to the light.  I could not use a tripod because this dog is 6 months old and thus very active.  He was supposed to be on rest break, and all things considered, he was pretty good.  My sister is dog sitting for her daughter; his name is Crosby.

I would have liked to use my tripod in Union Station - instead ended up with guerilla shots on a high ISO. The shutter speed on Mitch was 1/13, he knows how to hold a pose!
